Microsoft Project xCloud Demoed with Forza Horizon 4
Microsoft’s upcoming game-streaming service Project xCloud was demoed today during Inside Box. Kareem Choudhry, who is the Corporate Vice President for Gaming Cloud at Microsoft showed Forza Horizon 4 running on an Android phone. This comes just after Microsoft announced that Master Chief Collection is finally coming to PC.
The demo played on an Android smartphone was paired with an Xbox One controller via Bluetooth. The magical part of it, of course, was the cloud-streaming aspect. As Kareem Choudhry explained, everything on the screen was being processed by Microsoft’s datacenter.
“One of the things that so important to us is that the games play as they were originally intended by the creator.”
Microsoft has also confirmed that public trials for Project xCloud will begin this year. Project xCloud will compete with Google’s Project Stream when it launches.
