Fans have long asked for it, rumors foretold, but now it’s official. The day has arrived, Halo: Master Chief Collection for PC is official. Microsoft made the announcement today and dropped the first trailer to accompany it. Watch it below:
Halo: Master Chief Collection on PC contains Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (campaign), and Halo: Reach. That’s right, Microsoft is bringing Halo: Reach to PC as well as Xbox One. But the Collection will not launch in one piece but rather piece by piece. Starting with Halo: Reach, three “Halo experiences” will arrive this year. The point of this is to give 343 Industries time to get each game “right”. 343 Industries is working with Splash Damage and Ruffian for bringing this to PC.
PC version of the game will support exclusive options like Field of View adjustment, ultra-wide support, among other options. 343 Industries is calling it a “proper PC version”.
The icing on the cake is that the game is not exclusive to Windows Store. That’s right – Halo: Master Chief Collection on PC is coming to Steam.
