It seems like Huawei Nova 4 will beat competition to market. Rumors say that Samsung is set to unveil a radical design change with Galaxy S10 next year. The smartphone manufacturer is widely expected to incorporate a punch-hole display in the next Galaxy.

The display does away with the notch by punching a hole directly into the display to accommodate the front-facing camera. But Huawei is looking to be the first to market.

Huawei’s upcoming Nova 4 smartphone was shown off this week, albeit in a limited fashion. During a live-stream, Huawei didn’t shy away from showing off the new phone to the public.

It confirms a tweet from “Ice universe” that Huawei’s Nova 4 will be the first smartphone to have a hole in the screen.

Although both phones are rumored to release sometime in December, Huawei might beat the South Korean giant to the punch. Samsung’s own Galaxy A8s is expected to launch next month with the very same design.

At an event earlier this month, Samsung revealed several approaches to display designs which included Infinity-V with a V-shaped notch, Infinity-U with a teardrop notch, Infinity-O which is the display in discussion here, and a true full-screen display that houses all the sensors underneath display.

Galaxy A8s was earlier teased at an event in China, and now image of what is allegedly a glass protector for the phone has surfaced online.
