Microsoft in a big announcement today has revealed future plans for the Xbox Game Pass service. Xbox gamers will be delighted to hear that going forward, Xbox Game Pass will include all upcoming Xbox One exclusives in the mix.

That means, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3, will all be available under the Xbox Game Pass service. What’s even better is the fact that they will be accessible on the same day as their global release. So it’s an offer that’s immediately available to all subscribed members.

Microsoft touts that the service will expand to include all unannounced games including sequels to the major blockbusters such as Gears of War, Halo and Forza.

Also, beginning March 20, Xbox Game Pass will also be offered in a 6-month subscription plan at select retailers for $59.99. Or you can continue paying $9.99 per month. It’s really up to you.

Xbox Game Pass was announced last year as a Netfix-for-games service, and since then, it has included over 100 titles in the catalogue. The service also grants up to 20% discounts on games as well. With the inclusion of exclusives on the same day, it certainly feels a tremendous value for Xbox gamers. A six month long subscription grants access to games that are worth significantly more than $59.99.
