Like clockwork, Apple has announced the new version of iOS alongside the next macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and iPadOS. The new iOS 17 hosts plenty of new features such as NameDrop, Check In, the ability to use the iPhone as a standby display while it’s charging, and much more. But more importantly, Apple has confirmed the list of iOS 17 devices that are set to receive the update later this year.

Here are all the iPhone models confirmed to support iOS 17:

  1. iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs, and iPhone Xs Max
  2. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
  3. iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max
  4. iPhone SE 2nd Generation and iPhone SE 3rd Generation
  5. iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max
  6. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max

As you can tell, iOS 17 will say goodbye to the iPhone X, which has stood the test of time as one of the best-looking and still impressively functional six years later. The sun will also set on the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8. However, the three devices will continue to receive security updates for years to come.

You can grab iOS 17 by setting your iPhone to receive Developer Beta by going into Settings > General > Software Update, then selecting Developer Beta in Beta Updates. Be warned that the beta builds are not final and may contain severe bugs. It is advised to back up your data before proceeding.
