Samsung Galaxy S10 Sports Smaller Display Hole, 5G Variant Spotted
As 2018 is nearing end and we are drawing closer to Galaxy S10’s announcement, more information and leaks are emerging online. The latest is from Samsung Club (via Forbes).
The site talks about a fourth variant of the upcoming Galaxy 10, in their report which is corroborated through their own sources. So far, we’ve all gotten accustomed to expect three variants of the next Galaxy: Galaxy 10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10 Lite.
But rumors of a fourth version have emerged. This fourth Galaxy S10 is assumingly the 5G version which might release in every market. According to the new report, it carries the model number SM-G977 and codename “Beyond X”.
Galaxy Club notes this variant appears not for into developer, suggesting that it will release at a later date than other variants. Also, only the USA and Korean variants were spotted.
It’s worth noting that Samsung demoed an unannounced phone during the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit. The summit saw major players from the telecom space announce support for 5G platform – one of them was Samsung. That phone could very well be this fourth variant.
Another interesting leak appeared over the weekend. Ice Universe leaked what is allegedly a screen protector for Galaxy S10. The protector has smaller front-camera hole than what appears on the recently announced Galaxy A8s. It’s not unusual for Samsung to set the best of their design for their top Galaxy S flagships.
