Sony’s PlayStation family has officially crossed 525.3 million systems sold worldwide, it announced in a blog post this week. The figure includes every PlayStation console released since PlayStation 1 up until PlayStation 4. The Japanese gaming giant thanked its fans for the 24 year jouney.

To celebrate the milestone, Sony has announced a “500 Million Limited Edition” PS4 Pro system. The console features a transulent blue exterior with a matching DualShock 4 controller. The package includes a 2 Terabyte harddrive, the Playstation Camera and vertical stand.

The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro will be manufactured in limited quantities. Only 50,000 units of this unique design wlll be available worldwide. Each console features a small copper strip on the front that denotes the console’s production number. All this can be yours for $499 USD. Preorders begin on August 24.

Sony will also make the custom DualShock 4 available for purchase separately, priced at $64.99 USD. There’s also a translucent PS Gold Wireless Headset that will be on sale for $99.99 USD.

You know the drill with Limited Editions. You want ‘em then act fast. This Limited Edition will be up on preorder next to the Marvel’s Spiderman edition announced earlier.
