It’s official. Samsung will unveil the next Galaxy flagship next month. The month sent out invitations for its Unpacked event earlier today marking the device’s impending reveal during Mobile World Congress which takes place on February 25.

Samsung is teasing big changes to camera. This is in line with earlier speculation that the Galaxy S9 will have a radically new front-facing camera that is capable of shooting up to 1080p 480fps in slow-mo. There are several leaks on the internet showcasing the smartphone’s design, one of those leaks point to a dual-camera setup for the bigger Galaxy S9+. This has also been hinted in the promotion material of Samsung’s latest ISOCELL image sensor.

Going by what we’ve seen through leaks thus far, the Galaxy S9 is poised to be an incremental upgrade over the Galaxy S8. The leaks show the device will bear striking resemblance to its predecessor from the front, on the back is where things get interesting. Along with a new powerful new camera, the fingerprint reader has been moved to the bottom of the camera, so they both align vertically like in the new Galaxy A8. The fingerprint reader location was one of the biggest complaints users had about the Galaxy S8 as attempts to use it caused a lot of accidental touches on the camera lens. It doesn’t seem those complains will go away a hundred percent, but the new position should provide an easier reacheability when you’re holding the phone.
