Now that the 2018 iPhone lineup is out, rumors and reports are shifting to focus on what’s next. The famous Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, who correctedly predicted Apple’s decision to launch three iPhones this year is back with another report, this time about the iPhone 2019 lineup.

In his report that was obtained by Mac Rumors, Ming-Chi Kuo states that Apple isn’t planning for drastic changes for the iPhone 2019 lineup. Apple will build its 2019 lineup on three iPhones. The successor to iPhone XS and XS Max will feature the same screen size of 5.8” and 6.5”, respectively. And the successor to iPhone XR will again feature an LCD display at 6.1”.

The analyst has a solid track record of providing accurate information on Apple products, particularly the iPhones. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo draws his opinions from his expertise in supply chain.

Speaking strictly on this report, it seems that we’re staring at another “S” year for the iPhone. The 2018 marked no major changes to the outward appearance of the iPhones, as expected from an “S” year where Apple introduces internal changes mostly. But it would seem that smartphone innovation is slowing down and Apple wants to run with the current design until its absolutely the time for a radical change.
